The Position

The Marketing Manager (MM) will work with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to both drive awareness of the Maxine’s Heavenly brand and to accelerate digital growth. This individual must be comfortable working in a high-growth and dynamic environment that requires adaptability, creative thinking, and the enjoyment of opportunistic challenges.

The MM will serve as the principal hype person for the brand. At times they will also collaborate with the Field Marketing Specialist to promote in-person events that drive overall brand awareness.

The position will require a strong combination of creative and execution-based skill sets. The MM will be expected to have their “ears to the ground,” understanding current trends in and outside of the category, as well as the ever-changing direction of the digital arena. They will also be challenged to deeply understand and analyze the Maxine’s Heavenly customer, as well as finding ongoing creative ways to engage and reach them.

The MM should be excited to own projects, get their hands dirty, and play an active role in the growth of the company. With strong performance, there is plenty of opportunity for vertical growth within the organization.

The MM will have the following primary responsibilities:

Social Media & Content Management

The MM will work with the CMO to create a strategy for our platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest), and will be responsible for executing on that strategy. This includes:

  • Writing copy
  • Making creative
  • Managing content creators
  • Creating content
  • Community engagement, including becoming an active member of related groups
  • Managing influencers
  • Coordinating giveaways with brands
  • Managing/scheduling posts
  • Staying on top of trends

The ideal candidate understands the differences between the various social media platforms and has strong ideas about how we should show up differently on each of those platforms.

The MM will also be tasked with finding unique and authentic content creators to work with, and will build and manage those relationships.

The MM should feel comfortable being on camera and speaking about the brand publicly on social channels.

Partnership Management

The opportunities to work with partner brands are endless, and the MM will own any partnership projects that are built. This could include:

  • Joint content creation
  • Deal sharing
  • Product sharing and more.

The MM must be comfortable researching consumer goods brands, reaching out to cold leads, and making the case for mutually beneficial partnerships.

Other Tasks and Projects as Needed

The MM should expect to help the CMO complete marketing tasks as assigned. The MA also has the opportunity to bring any special skills or interests to the table to help with growth. This could be anything from building a customer loyalty program to designing and executing on a research project.

Prior Experience

The right candidate will have had experience in a marketing role, preferably in the food and beverage industry or a successful ecommerce business. This person will have a strong working knowledge of:

  • Social media (content, growth, engagement) especially on Instagram and TikTok
  • Digital marketing best practices
  • The marketing funnel, the customer journey, and buyer personas


  • Degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, or similar field
  • 3+ years experience working in marketing
  • Experience** **pulling and organizing data to inform strategy
  • Well-versed in the best practices for various social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter, and others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Drive
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, strongly preferred
  • Located in Los Angeles, CA
