About the Role:

The candidate will establish a sales organization from the ground up at our young, venture-backed startup. Therefore, this person will excel at both the hands-on sales process, creating and closing new opportunities in the advertising/media industry, as well as establishing sales systems and eventually hiring and training other sales reps as we grow.

This opportunity is perfect for a driven sales professional with a strong personal B2B track record and some leadership experience who is eager to take their career to a higher level with a young but fast-growing company. Our product is data, so the ideal candidate will have experience selling data in the ad tech industry.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work we do. We are helping bridge societal divisions caused by misinformation and extreme polarization, and we believe these are among the most important challenges of our time. Company is headquartered in the Denver/Boulder, CO area. Ideally, the candidate will be located in Colorado, New York, or Southern California, but candidates from all locations in the US will be considered.


  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
  • Implement new revenue streams
  • Develop outbound sales scripts and marketing copy
  • Draft and customize professional proposals and presentations
  • Conduct technical product demos
  • Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives

  • Occasional travel anticipated (~10% or less)


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' quota carrying B2B sales experience
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
  • Experience selling data products and/or SaaS highly preferred
  • Experience leading, managing, and/or training other sales representatives
  • Excellent writing skills; particularly, excellent grammar and spelling and the ability to write compelling and concise sales communications
  • Friendly and congenial verbal communication style with colleagues and prospects
  • Able to communicate abstract concepts and a vision for the future in an emerging market
  • Familiar with both short (< one week) and long (> 6 month) sales cycles
  • Passion for fixing the news ecosystem
  • Relevant, existing customer relationships in advertising industry strongly preferred
  • Sales experience in other industries/markets besides the advertising/media industry a bonus–particularly, experience in academic, scientific, software, or data-related industries is a plus

  • Base Salary Range $85,000-90,000+ Commissions. Quota target contemplates approximately 50% base and 50% commission for total target compensation of $180K
  • Uncapped commissions. At 125% of quota, total compensation exceeds $200K
